We invite you to join us at the 2018 Ferrario Southern Tier Jazz Festival on Friday, August 17 and Saturday, August 18! The weekend of jazz kicks off Friday evening at the Clemens Center in downtown Elmira, New York with a cocktail hour at 6:00 p.m. featuring heavy hors-d'oeuvres catered by EOP's own CFJP Bistro before the performance at 7:00 p.m. Get ready to jam the night away with contemporary jazz pianist, Brian Simpson, and soulful singer-songwriter, Selina Albright. On Saturday, soak up the sunshine outside with us at Thorne Street Park in nearby Horseheads, New York for an afternoon of food, music, and fun for the entire family. Enjoy a spectacular summer afternoon starting at 2:00 p.m. with trumpeter Cindy Bradley, saxophonist Jeff Kashiwa, festival staple-keyboardist Marcus Johnson with special guest saxophonist Phillip "Doc" Martin, and local favorite Top Shelf. Coming in from out of town? Explore things to do and places to stay in our community.
ABOUT THE FERRARIO SOUTHERN TIER JAZZ FESTIVAL
Join Us This August
Located in the heart of the Finger Lakes Region of scenic upstate New York, the Ferrario Southern Tier Jazz Festival is the Elmira-Corning area's premier regional summer jazz festival. Since its inception in 2012, the festival has expanded into a two-day event celebrating both local and international artists, supporting area organizations and businesses, and strengthening the community. Check out our artists & events to see who we have featured in the past and who we are excited to host in the future. The purpose of the festival is to empower agents of change in our community. All of the proceeds from the events are donated directly to the Economic Opportunity Program of Chemung & Schuyler Counties (EOP), an organization that has been a pillar in our community for over 53 years serving over 5,000 community members annually.
